Design Stance

We do not seek to reproduce genetic arms races. Our aim is an equal paradigm shift based on new empathic structures and consciously designed rules suitable for a densely interdependent planet.

Instead of monologue in an abundant frontier, we design an evolving deliberative practice for a crowded world with limits.

> **Goal:** to protect and promote lifelike being by evolving governance through Deliberative Primitives delivered as Living Documents within shared Language Games.

These primitives are gestalt-level patterns that people can grasp as a whole (Gestalt), transmit across minds (Memetics), and recognize by Family Resemblance in practice; their identity includes an assembly history (path dependence) akin to the intuitions of Assembly Theory.

Principles for a crowded planet. First, Empathy and Theory of Mind are not extras; they are the evolutionary engine of diversity-of-thought and the medium by which story becomes theory over time. Second, proposals must be compatible with Planetary Boundaries and social thresholds; what survives is what sustains. Third, legibility and reciprocity are preconditions of consent: plans must be understandable to affected parties and repairable when harms occur - wikipedia

New game rules as primitives. We encode empathic structures as reusable, teachable Deliberative Primitives inside Living Documents: - Mirror Role-Swap: argue from the standpoint of those most affected; record the plan deltas that follow. - Care Ledger: bind any proposal to explicit obligations for monitoring, mitigation, and exit. - Boundary Proof: provide a short, checkable argument—often with an interactive model—that the action stays within ecological and social limits. - Reciprocity Check: counterparts restate their understanding; proposers confirm or revise; mismatches force clarification. - Repair Plan: specify rollback and compensation pathways before launch.

Why modern AI belongs here. Generative models are useful not as hype but as scaling mechanisms inside the publishing and deliberation network. First, pattern recognition at scale: AI can detect missing perspectives, surface family resemblances of good practice, and generate multimodal exemplars that make a primitive graspable for humans.

Second, propagation with feedback: embedded prompts and checks (“attach a Care Ledger?”, “run a Boundary Proof?”) maintain norms in flow while instrumentation links primitives to outcomes. Third, toward agentic space: as systems become multi-agent, vectors reflect commitments, questions, challenges, and agreements—coordinates in socially grounded language games, not just abstract co-occurrence. wikipedia

Substrate and instrumentation. Living Documents are the substrate: continuously updated guides with story, theory notes, steps, media, and metrics; they carry provenance and evolution logs. Policy-as-Code provides the operational layer so rules and tests are versioned, executable, and auditable—akin to CI/CD for governance. Minimal metrics include harm ratio and time-to-mitigation, care adherence, boundary integrity, reciprocity scores, intergenerational legibility, and linked ecological indicators. openpolicyagent.org
